| Since its founding in 2001, Spring Rain Sangha has grown and matured. In addition to having six multi-day retreats, and eight one-day retreats booked for 2009, this fall we begin our second Dharma Home Study Program. We also have more people attending our Tuesday night program than ever before and recently SRS acquired “Charitable Status.” This means that we are now able to provide tax deductible receipts for donations. Due to the good news of “Charitable Status,” along with your feedback regarding the “Long Term Planning Survey” we are looking at the possibility of holding more weekly night classes, one-day sittings, and more multi-day non-residential in-town retreats. The attached pledge form is being introduced as the first step towards realizing these objectives. We are also looking into the possibility of owning or renting our own facility in Toronto. All funds collected through these pledges are for the sole purpose of expanding practice related programs and providing the opportunity for everyone to participate in SRS programs regardless of financial capability. It is our fervent wish that no one ever be turned away from any practice related function because of a lack of finances. Your support will help make the Dharma accessible to everyone interested.
